What does cold-pressed mean?

Cold-pressing is the production process of extracting juice or puree from raw fruit and veg using a hydraulic press The ingredients are kept cool through this process to lock in their natural nutritional integrity.

What is HPP?

At Mockingbird Raw Press we are proud to use High-Pressure Processing (HPP) technology instead of heat Pasteurisation to give our products the longest shelf life possible. HPP is a non-thermal preservation method that extends shelf-life by deactivating any harmful bacteria through the application of high water pressure to our bottled juices and smoothies.

What is the difference between our HPP Process & the Heat Pasteurisation used by some other brands?

In short, using HPP technology means we never apply heat to our fresh ingredients. Heat Pasteurisation is another way of breaking down bacteria to extend a products shelf life which is a method used by many other brands. Heat pasteurisation required the application of heat which can affect the nutritional value and natural taste of ingredients which is why we never use heat and instead keep our products raw for natural nutritional integrity though our manufacturing process.

Which Mockingbird Raw Press products contain allergens?

Yes, Mockingbird Raw Defence contains Celery which is labelled as an allergen on the label. Any allergens will always be clearly displayed on our product labels. Always remember to check for allergens on the label as we may change our recipes from time to time.

Do you add sugar?

We never add sugar, to our Mockingbird Raw Press juices & smoothies. All the sugar content in our smoothies and juices is naturally occurring from fresh fruit & veg.

Is Mockingbird Raw Press vegan?

All our products, except for our Raw Gut shot, which contains honey, is vegan.

Is Mockingbird Raw Press suitable for children?

Yes, our smoothies & juices are a simple and delicious way of increasing your family’s fruit & veg intake and are to be enjoyed as part of a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet. A glass of Mockingbird Raw Press (150ml) counts as one of your 5-a-day.

Why does all the fruit and veg that goes into your smoothies and juices only give me 1/5 a day?

The NHS provide clear guidelines on what counts towards your 5 a day. Their guidelines outline that a 150ml portion of fruit juice or smoothie can count as one of your 5-a-day and can only count once in a day.

Is your packaging recyclable/made from recycled materials?

Our bottles are made from 50% recycled plastic and our bottle, cap and label are all 100% recyclable.

Can I drink Mockingbird Raw Press while I am pregnant?

Our Raw Smoothies, Raw Juices and Raw Juice Shots are pregnancy safe. Always check with your doctor or a health professional if you have any concerns or if you are aware of any health conditions that may affect your dietary requirements.

How do I store Mockingbird Raw Press?

Mockingbird Raw Press must be kept refrigerated below 4 degrees shortly after purchase and can be served straight from the fridge.

How long are the products good for after opening?

We recommend our Raw Smoothies & Juices are consumed within three days after opening and always stored chilled. Our Raw Juice shots have 5 days from opening and always stored chilled.

What is the cause of separation in my juice/smoothie?

Separation is a sign of freshness and totally natural. Just give your smoothie or juice a gentle shake to bring it back together again. Delicious!
